In Denmark, a majority Protestant Christian country, a "Confirmation" ceremony takes place in the country's churches when young people will be sealing of the covenant made in Holy Baptism when they are infants. However the rite tends to be seen rather as a mature statement of faith by an already baptised person. It is also required by most Protestant denominations for membership in the respective church, in particular for traditional Protestant churches. In traditional Protestant churches it is recognized by a coming of age ceremony.
Mr. Lars Jacobsen, a former resident of Pattaya and a now regular visitor with his family, decided to organize his daughters "Confirmation Party" here in Pattaya rather than in their home country of Denmark. So Tanya Jacobsen, 13 years of age, enjoyed a nice party with Danish family friends at Cherry's Restaurant on Pattaya Third Road with an elaborate buffet and then the party continued into the night at "Jim's Bar" in Soi Diana Inn.
