Looks like Thai football fans are ready for football fever as the 2014 FIFA World Cup draws near. Several promotional events have been launched across the country to promote the World Cup in Brazil which will be held between June 12 and July 13.Television and cable boxes are selling like hot cakes as business operators launch promotions for football fans. Empty shelves are visible in many stores as demands for football T-shirts and souvenirs have also skyrocketed. Despite the fact the Thai National Team has never qualified for one of the most prestigious world sporting events, local fans continue to look forward to enjoying and being a part of the World Cup traditions.
